Day 1: Starting to live on the road

After repacking all the stuff that we have and squeezing it into the boot and into the box on top of the car we left Ljubljana at 10.30 this morning and got lost right after leaving the town as we missed the turning leading north (guess who was driving...).

Leaving Ljubljana

The drive across Austria was looong and not very exciting except for the Alfa Romeo that set on fire in the middle of the motorway and its driver who jumped out of the cloud of smoke directly onto the middle of it.

In Czech Republic we first visited Česky Krumlov, an old medieval town, which is part of UNESCO World Heritage and then Česke Budjevice an old brewery town. It was very, very hot and at least Krumlov was packed by tourists. At the moment we’re in Telč, which is another little town and are continuing towards Prague later.

We’ll be sightseeing Prague tomorrow. Hopefully this heat wave will end soon; you can’t even buy an ice cream, because it melts too fast.
