Moving To The Road Again: Roadtrip-Europe 2010

The summer has come and so has the time to pack our bags, empty our fridges and move to the road again for a month.

We have the same team, the same car, just a different location. Last time we visited Central Europe and a part of Scandinavia, but this time we’re just gonna be going north… North until we reach the northern most part of Europe, the Nordkapp. On our way there we’re also going to be visiting Czech Republic, Poland, the Baltic countries and of course dear mr. Santa Clause in Finland.

Where are we gonna be staying? Well,we don’t know yet. Last time we spent most of the time sleeping in the car or a tent at the side of the road or staying with our fellow couchsurfers, who were kind enough to let all four of us (including Lu) into their homes (thank you again guys!) and we’re planning to do the same this time. We visited loads of big cities last year, but this year we’re gonna be mostly visiting the remote areas and national parks and we’ll also walk the famous Karhunkierros trail in Finland.

Oh, and in case you don’t know all of us yet, we’re Urša, Petra and Sabrina (thus the name of the blog-UPS), friends from high school, now already university students, who have decided one day to make annual road trips until we are too old to drive:). By discovering the world we are accompanied by our most loyal companion, a little dog called Lu, who has probably seen more of the world than an average human being :).

We will set off on 21st July and will be coming back in theend of August, when also the song of the trip will be known (last year it was Morrison's Brown Eyed Girl).

We’re all one year older now, we’re doing the whole thing for the second time, so what can possibly go wrong? Hopefully Elza (the car) won’t be too thirsty and Grizelda (the GPS) won’t be too fussy. And this time we’re definitely bringing that moose back with us. No matter what!

All the news about our trip will be regularly updated here, so please do follow us! Any tips or help from anyone regarding our trip are much appreciated!

Cheers

*UPS*
