Day 32: Home Sweet Home

We left Munich in the morning and drove to Salzburg, where we visited the famous salt mine. On our way there we stopped in a tiny Bavarian village with a very interesting name (see the photo), but unfortunately found out that its inhabitatnts aren't exactly among the most hospitable in the world. We arrived to Ljubljana at four in the afternoon and as every proper Ljubljančan first went to the pub before doing everything else.

After 32 days spent on the road, life will soon get back to normal. And for those, who were asking how it was compared to last year; the places were as nice, the people were just as friendly and the atmosphere was just as amaizing, but it was still quite different from last year. Last year, we did it for the first time and everything was new for us, while this year, we already had loads of experience. This year, however, definitely was worse in terms of things that broke down. The tire, the car, the navigation, the tent and the lock, it doesn't really matter what, we managed to fix them all.

Some statistics from this trip:

Kilometres driven: 11286
Kilometres walked: 100 (82 Finland, 18 Norway)
Tires burst: 1
Ratio of guys against women in Mercedes A; 44:23
Will be missed: two pairs of shorts left behind in Prague, a credit card now staying in Riga and a pair of flip-flops R.I.P. at the bottom of a lake in Oulanka

We are already planning the trip for next year. Wonder where we will be going? Well, I guess you'll just have to wait and see:)

Urša, Petra, Sabrina and Lu

A tip for those passing this village: beware of the furious ladies with rakes in their hands (in the backround), you do not want to mess with them

The last 100 km of the trip seemed the longest - Austria is famous for its "Staus".

Day 31: From Berlin to Munich

We spent the morning in Berlin's Kleiner Istanbul, buying goodies on the Turkish market. No matter how far we've been on this trip, Berlin is still staying our food paradise.

We managed to come to Munich late in the afternoon and had just about enough time to walk around the centre and then enjoy the rest of the evening in one of the local breweries.

Day 30: Berlin

Berlin is one of those cities where there are always plenty of things to do. Either just chilling out in one of the parks, walking along the busy streets or queuing for the well known Berliner curry Würstchen, one simply can never get bored in this city. We revisited some of the places that we liked the most last year and finished the day eating one of the best local Kebaps. We're staying with Kate tonight and tomorrow in the morning we're off to the capital of Bavaria, the mecca for beer fans, Munich.
