Day 12: Hill of Crosses and Cape Kolka

We visited the famous Hill of Crosses near Siauliai in Lithuania in the morning, which is as the name says, a hill full of crosses. Large or small, wooden or metal, there are thousands of crosses everywhere.

We drove to Latvia to the peninsula Kolka in the afternoon, picking up two hitch-hikers on our way there, who were going back home from a rock festival. The road towards Kolka was definitely worth having a jeep.

We finally managed to dry our not-yet-moldy tents today, we cooked a nice dinner and spent the rest of the afternoon chilling out on a nearby beach, cooling our feet in the cold Baltic sea.
